Middle School

Middle School Program

Kona Pacific offers a vibrant program for our middle school students blending the Waldorf curriculum with Hawaii’s common core standards. During middle school we strive to begin the transition of empowering our students to take their learning into their own hands and become increasingly independent in their education. The students move from having their class teacher leading all of their subjects to several teachers teaching main lesson, ELA, and math. There is an emphasis on place-based education with field trips focusing on field experience and community involvement. There are different events students look forward to during their middle school journey like 6th grade’s Medieval Games, 7th grade’s Rube Goldberg Physics project, and the 8th grade week-long camping trip.
